Amazon Prime Benefits That You Probably Don’t Know About

First things first, if you don’t have an Amazon Prime account you are going to want to get signed up. I’ve had a Prime Account for a few years now and I’m constantly finding new things offered. Amazon Prime offers hundreds of great deals and benefits and you can pay for the Prime membership yearly or monthly. Before we dive into some of the best benefits of being a Prime Member I want to give an honorable mention to Amazon Watch Party. As a prime member, you can chat with up to 100 friends while you all watch a movie together! Sounds like a great way to connect with friends near and far (especially during a pandemic). Amazon Prime also gives you access to thousands of movies and TV shows to choose from. Click here to get signed up:

Student Discounts. If you are a student, you are going to want to make sure that you sign up for the Prime Student account. If you are signing up for a new student prime account then right now you are going to get a FREE 6 month trial of student prime. After that it’s only $6.49 a month (That’s a 50% discount), and Amazon is offering a ton of offers right now for students. (Not going to lie, I’m a little jealous over all the Student discounts.) Grubhub, discounts on flights and hotels (Via StudentUniverse) and a 3 month free trial of Calm. (Calm is a meditation and sleep app). If you are currently enrolled in school and want an Amazon Student Prime account click here:

Amazon Music. Right now you can get 3 MONTHS free of Amazon Music. That’s unlimited access to 75 million songs. You will have unlimited access to your favorite song (so feel free to repeat as many times as you want), listen to your favorite podcasts, and never worry about ads! After the first 3 months it’s only $7.99 a month. I personally used this for the free trial, and have enjoyed blasting music through my Alexa device set up in my kitchen. Who doesn’t love a good jam session while washing the dishes? Anyone? Click the link to learn more:

Disney plus. You read that right! Right now (for new Amazon music subscribers only), you not only get 3 months of free music with your subscription, but you will also get 3 months of Disney Plus for free. If you have been on the fence about downloading Disney Plus, why not get it for free? After those 3 months are up Disney plus is $7.99 a month (for Amazon prime members) and $9.99 a month if you don’t have a prime account. You can cancel anytime! Go ahead and get those free 3 months! Prime wardrobe. Did you know that your prime membership gives you access to thousands of clothing and accessories that you can order and try on for FREE? I LOVE this feature, and use it every season when I want to try on some new clothes and see how they fit. Simply search items under prime wardrobe and select the pieces you want to try on. (Color selections and sizing do vary. You may not always be able to try on the color you want, but if you love the fit you can return it and order the correct color in your size). Prime Wardrobe gives you 7 days to try on your items once you have received them. Once you decide what to keep and what to get rid of, you simply go into your Amazon account and “check out.” You only pay for the items you want. After that, you can select where you want to return your order. (Amazon does supply the box or bag and the return label for you). I usually drop off my returns at my local Kohls. (Bonus: Kohls gave me $5 Kohls cash for returning there). No link needed for this, but check out the next prime wardrobe perk below!

Personal Shopper. If you are feeling overwhelmed by all of the options on Amazon Prime Wardrobe, Amazon is here to help! They offer a personal shopper to help style you! Competing with companies like Stitch Fix, Amazon is coming out on top. Each styling session is only $5 (instead of the $20 styling fee for other companies), and you can choose up to 8 items to be sent right to you. Just fill out a quick survey to help your personal Stylist learn about what kind of styles you are looking for, and then they go to work! You can even preview the items before they are sent to you. You get 7 days to try on your items once you receive them, and you can connect with your stylist about your likes and dislikes. Not bad for an extra $5! Link here:

Kindle Unlimited! If curling up with your kindle instead of a movie is more your thing, you are going to want to check out Kindle Unlimited. It’s unlimited reading (and listening) on any device; You just need the kindle app. It’s $9.99 a month, but right now they are offering deals on 6 months, 12 months and 24 month plans. Sign up to enjoy over 1 million titles to choose from; This includes top monthly magazines, and Audiobooks! (My personal opinion: I am old school and love to hold a book in my hand. I have not jumped on board with the audio book trend, though I know I should at least give it a try for those long car rides). Link here:

Trending on Tik Tok. Have you ever found yourself randomly scrolling TikTok and you see a video about some insanely cool product they found on Amazon? (It’s okay if you answer no; I am pretty new to TikTok myself.) Amazon has an entire section devoted to products trending on TikTok! Even if you have never downloaded the TikTok app, these items are pretty cool. It doesn’t cost you anything to check them out, but if you have an Amazon Prime account most of them have free 2 day shipping. (Another Amazon Prime perk, and one that I use constantly). Click here to check out what’s trending:

This list was only the tip of the Amazon iceberg! As a Prime member you will have access to everything that Amazon offers, and canceling is super easy if you don’t want to continue after the free trials. (Been there and done that myself.) If you would like to see some of my personal favorite Amazon finds you can click the link below to be taken to my Amazon storefront.

Have a Great week! xo Kat
